Rate TrackShows from inside the app

In-app reviews. After you catch up on a season, Android may offer a small rating sheet so you can review TrackShows without leaving the app.
Support TrackShows. The app is free with no adverts, and now you can buy the developer a coffee at ko-fi.com/trackshows.

A sorted Library and your screen time

A sorted Library. The Watching section now splits three ways: Watching for shows with episodes ready to watch, No longer airing for shows that have ended or been cancelled, and Upcoming for shows you are caught up on, ordered by next air date.
Screen time. The Profile tab now shows your total watch time, split into series and movies, with episode and movie counts behind the numbers.
All three changes came from user requests.

Shows you might like

Personalised recommendations on What’s On. Two new rails, Shows you might like and Movies you might like, suggest new titles based on what you already follow and watch. Anything you already track, or have stopped, is never suggested. The rails sit at the top of What’s On and hide themselves until you follow something.
Smaller, faster app. Android release builds are now optimised with R8, trimming the download and speeding up the app.

Stop watching, on your terms

Stop watching from the show page. Every show you follow now has a Stop watching link on its page, so you can shelve a show the moment you know you are done with it instead of waiting for the eight week nudge. Stopped shows keep their place in the Library, history intact, one tap from resuming. Asked for by a TrackShows user.
Most commented, all-time. The What’s On rail now ranks the shows and movies people have commented on across all of TrackShows, rather than only the last seven days, so it no longer hides itself in quiet weeks.

Shows you drifted away from

Not watched in a while. A show with episodes waiting that you have not touched for eight weeks moves to its own section on On Next, asking one question: keep it, or stop watching? Keep returns it to the list; nothing ever moves without your say-so.
Stop watching, without losing anything. Stopping a show parks it in the Library under Stopped watching, history intact. Resume it from there any time, or just mark an episode watched and it comes straight back.
Shows open on the season you are in. A show page now opens with your current season expanded and scrolled into view, instead of a wall of collapsed seasons.
A native tab bar on Android. The bottom navigation now uses the platform’s own Material 3 bar, with the pill highlight behind the active tab.
Shipped requests are settled. On the feature request board, shipped cards no longer take votes; the final tally is kept for the record. Three of the changes above came from the board.

Your whole Library

The Library now holds everything you follow. It used to list only finished shows and watched movies. It now shows what you are watching, what you have completed, your movie watchlist and your movie history, all in one place. This was asked for by a TrackShows user.
Filters for a long library. Chips at the top narrow the tab to Watching, Completed or Movies. All is the default and stacks every section, so scrolling the lot is still one gesture.
Bulk unfollow reaches further. Long press now selects shows you are watching and movies on your watchlist too, not just completed shows.
Feature request board reads in order. Open, Planned and Shipped now follow the path a request actually takes.

Your Library

New Library tab. Everything you have finished now has its own home: shows you have completed and movies you have watched, each one tap from its page. Both halves of this change were asked for by TrackShows users.
Watched movies stay visible. Marking a movie watched used to remove it from view entirely. The Library now keeps the full list, with the date you watched each one.
A focused home. Completed shows have moved off the On Next tab, so home is only ever what there is to watch next.
Export dates fixed. Dates in the data export CSV files are now in a standard format.

Pure black, and your vote

Pure black theme. A new switch under Profile, Settings turns every background true black. On an OLED screen those pixels are switched off entirely, so it saves battery and loses the grey glow in a dark room. Standard dark stays the default.
Feature requests. A public board on your Profile: see what is planned, what has shipped, and vote for what you want next. Suggest something from Contact & feedback and it appears once it has been read.
A tidier Profile. Your Profile now shows your account, your trophies and the board. Everything you set moved behind the gear in the corner, so the tab is one glance again instead of one long scroll.
Bigger trophy text. The trophy cards were set in smaller type than everything around them. They now match the rest of the tab.

What everyone else thought

Community ratings on episodes. Each episode page now shows the average star rating and how many people gave one, right beside your own stars. Rate the episode and the average updates with you in it.
A neater comment box. The comment field and its send button now sit together in one rounded pill, matching the rest of the app.

Get in touch

Contact us from the app. New on your Profile: Contact & feedback. Report a problem or suggest an improvement and it goes straight to the developer, with replies to your account email.
Errors out in the open. If something breaks, the app now says so instead of silently stalling: a small notice appears with the technical detail, a Report this button that pre-fills the feedback form, and automatic reporting so recurring problems get found and fixed.
Long seasons fixed. Marking a whole season as watched failed for seasons with more than 20 episodes. It now works for any season length.
Profile polish. Tidier spacing around the Settings heading, toggles and save button on the Profile tab.

One mark everywhere

A single TrackShows mark. The app icon, the in-app logo, the web icons and the website now all carry the same amber chevron, drawn from one master file so they can never drift apart again.
On Next, titled. The list of episodes ready to watch now sits under its own On Next heading, alongside Upcoming, Movies and Completed.
Tidier spacing. Section headings across the app now share one set of spacing rules, so both tabs line up exactly.
Old web address handover. Anyone still on the old app.onnext.tv web app is now moved to app.trackshows.tv automatically on their next visit.

Trophies

Trophy case. Five trophy tracks on your Profile, episodes, completed shows, movies, ratings and comments, each running bronze to diamond with a progress bar to your next metal. Fully retroactive: everything your history already earns unlocks the first time you look.
Milestones, not streaks. There are no streaks, no dailies and no pressure mechanics, deliberately. Trophies mark what you have watched; they never tell you to watch.
Profile tab. The Settings tab is now Profile, home to your trophy case and everything that was in Settings.
One quiet notification. Unlocking sends a single push if you have notifications on, even when several unlock at once. The old “Episode alerts” switch is now simply “Notifications” and covers both.

OnNext is now TrackShows

New name, same app. OnNext is now TrackShows. Nothing else changes: your account, your shows and your history are exactly where you left them.
New home. The website is now trackshows.tv and the web app lives at app.trackshows.tv. Every old onnext.tv link redirects to its new address automatically.
One thing to redo on web. If you had episode alerts enabled in the web app, flick the switch in Settings once more on the new address; browser notification permissions do not follow a domain move.

Completed shows, and tabs that remember your place

Completed shows. A new section at the bottom of On Next lists every show you have fully watched, marked as Ended, Cancelled or Returning series so you know whether more is coming. Tap one to revisit it, or long press to unfollow.
Tabs remember your place. Switch from a show page to another tab and back, and you are still on that show, the way tabbed apps are meant to behave. Back still retraces your steps within the current tab.
iPhone web fix. On iPhones the home indicator no longer overlaps the tab bar in the web app, and the buttons sit properly centred.
Steadier web updates. The web app now serves pages and code from the same downloaded build, removing the brief blank screen that could appear while a fresh deploy spread across the network.

Sign in with Google, and see where shows stream

Sign in with Google. One tap on the sign in screen, no password to remember. If an TrackShows account with the same email already exists, Google signs you into it and your library is untouched. The screen also remembers whether you last used Google or email.
Email verification. A one-time 6-digit code confirms the email address on your account. New accounts verify at sign up; existing accounts are asked once at their next sign in.
See where shows stream. Show pages now carry the logos of the streaming services offering the show in your region (streaming data by JustWatch), alongside the broadcaster’s badge.
Filter What’s On by service. New chips for Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and Apple TV+ at the top of What’s On.
Steadier web app updates. Fixed the cause of the occasional blank screen right after an update shipped to app.trackshows.tv.

Export your data, plus more genres to browse

Export your data. Your watch history belongs to you. Settings, then Export my data downloads everything as a zip of spreadsheet-friendly CSV files: your shows, movies, watched episodes, ratings and comments. In the browser it downloads straight away; on Android you pick the folder it lands in.
More genres. The chips on What’s On now cover fifteen genres across shows and films, including action, animation, drama, mystery, reality, sci-fi and thriller.
Tidier browsing. What’s On has cleaner, more consistent spacing, and long-pressing to select shows no longer highlights text in the browser.

Import your TV Time history, ratings and offline support

Import from TV Time. Upload your TV Time data export and TrackShows restores your followed shows and full watch history in about a minute. Settings, then Import from TV Time.
TrackShows in your browser. The full app now runs at app.trackshows.tv on any device, with episode alerts in supported browsers.
Rate episodes. Give any episode 1 to 5 stars. Every show gets a community rating, and the best appear in a new Top rated rail on What’s On.
Works offline. Your shows and episodes stay readable without a connection, so you can check what’s next from a plane, a train or a field.
Movie watchlist. Movies you follow now appear on On Next until you mark them watched.
Faster pruning. Press and hold on On Next to select several shows and unfollow them in one go, handy after a big import.
Browse by genre. New chips on What’s On open the top sci-fi, comedy, crime, documentary, romance and horror titles, ranked by TMDB’s global scores.
Most commented this week. A new rail surfaces what TrackShows users are talking about right now, and every show and movie page now displays its TMDB score.
Simpler layout. Search now lives at the top of What’s On, and going back always returns you to where you actually came from.
